OC Animal Care's Animal Control Team Works With Local Fire Department to Make an Incredible Rescue

On Saturday, January 13th, Sergeant Detki and Officer Staveley responded to a loose dog that was scared and being evasive. The dog ended up running underneath a very low to the ground sedan and couldn’t get out from underneath it. Anytime the officers tried to help him, he would panic and crawl more into the wheel well. Fire Department was called out to assist and using air bags, the Firemen were able to jack up the vehicle and the dog was safely removed without injury. This little guy, now known as Ink, has joined the shelter’s TLC program. Through this program, trained and experienced volunteers work with dogs to help them break out of their shell. When Ink came into the shelter, he was very fearful, overwhelmed and would not walk on the leash. Some extra TLC has really made a difference! Ink is doing better on the leash each day, loves to give lots of kisses and enjoys getting cuddles from you. We can’t thank all of the amazing people who have helped Ink along the way. You have made such a difference in his life! Click Here to watch Ink's special video!
