On Tuesday, November 20th, we were fortunate enough to host Lionel’s Legacy, a rescue program dedicated to providing senior animals with foster homes in the San Diego area. As a participant of the Oldies But Goodies Challenge for Adopt a Senior Pet Month, Lionel’s Legacy came to OC Animal Care with the intention of raising awareness for their cause, and personally connecting our oldest residents with the perfect foster home for them. Thanks to their efforts and generosity of volunteer fosterers, 16 senior dogs from our shelter are now being fostered in loving homes, where they can get all the attention and care they could ever need! We are so grateful to Lionel’s Legacy for their dedication to helping senior dogs! OC Animal Care still has senior pets waiting for homes this holiday season, though.
