2 Shelter Dogs Adopted During the WAND BBQ Event!

On Saturday April 21st OC Animal Care was at the 22nd Annual West Anaheim Neighborhood Development Western BBQ at Maxwell Park. From 10 am to 2pm community members could participate in a number of activities from games, competitions, demonstrations, local vendors and interact with animals through pony rides and visiting potbellied pigs.OC Animal Care was in attendance with four volunteers, and four dogs: Julia, Anita, Claudeen and Lilly. Julia and Anita both found their fur-ever homes at the event! Julia went home with an Anaheim Chief Advisory Board Member for the Anaheim Police Department and Anita went home with an Anaheim Fire and Rescue Community Engagement Officer. Not only were OC Animal Care staff and volunteers excited to see dogs go home, but they were also excited to see a friendly face. One of the potbellied pigs that was at the event was an OC Animal Care alumni! Sir Archibald was adopted in April 2017 and has been living his best life with his forever mom ever since. The event brought a lot of people from the Anaheim community together and happy endings.
