Pilot Program Overview

Dog's Day Out allows residents to take select Orange County Animal Care dogs on a four-hour field trip to any pet-friendly park, business, or other location in the County. Participants must be 18 years and older, have a driver's license and an enclosed vehicle with air condition.

OC Animal Care provides all of the necessary supplies, including a bright orange vest for the dog that says "Adopt Me." Studies show dogs that participate in field-trip programs are 5 to 14 times more likely to be adopted.

The adventures begin at OC Animal Care, 1630 Victory Road, Tustin. Appointments are required. Go to www.ocpetinfo.com/dogsdayout for more information.
