Archived Shelter Statistics
Please use the links below to find archived shelter statistical reports for animals, field activities and licensing activities in an overall and city specific format going back to 2010. Please note that between 2010 and 2014, OC Animal Care modified the statistical reports several times to remove and/or include items at the request of contracted cities and residents. Reports may look different and/or contain different information depending on the year being studied. In 2015, OC Animal Care joined Shelter Animals Count: The National Database. Beginning with 2015, OC Animal Care will be using the Shelter Animals Count reporting methods to report our annual statistics on our website and beginning in 2016, we will also report our monthly statistics on the Shelter Animals Count website at http://shelteranimalscount.org/.
OC Animal Care reports our statistics on our website because we feel that transparency is an important part of being a public agency. In addition, we want our communities to understand the realities that we face as a shelter and the impact that our citizens can have on increasing adoptions and decreasing euthanasia.
