Penelope - “A second chance”
Animal Care Success Stories

Almost a year ago, my Chihuahua named Peppy, who I had for seven years was hit by an approaching car and died. This was a great loss for my husband anPenelope - a success storyd I. Even though we knew we couldn’t replace Peppy, we decided shortly after that we wanted to get another dog.

This time instead of going out to the pet store and buying one, we chose to adopt one. At first we were a little unsure adopting a dog because we didn’t know what to expect. But fortunately, we had a great experience adopting our dog from the Animal Care Center.

The hardest part was picking one out of so many cute dogs. In the end, we chose a black Chihuahua and Dachshund mix, who we named Penelope. Penelope is a great dog, who is well behaved and who always lets us know how happy she is that we took her for a walk outside.

We are very satisfied with her and we’re very glad that OC Animal Care exists, so that dogs that have been abandoned or rejected have a second chance.
