Mayday - "Spoil him until the end of his days"
Animal Care Success Stories

We came to the shelter on May 1st. So we named our 6 month old Labrador retriever mix puppy Mayday! We had lost 2 of our beloved pets in the last 3 months- one to lymphoma and one to congestive heart failure. We had been checking rescues and looking at dogs on the web, but never found the “right” one. One day, we found him at the Orange County Shelter and that day we took him with us to pick up our kids from school in Fullerton. When we arrived at my son’s classroom one of his classmates was surprised to see him. As it turns out our new puppy was the one she had found wandering her neighborhood the week before. She had been disappointed that she wasn’t able to keep him herself, but was grateful that he had found a good home with friends that she knew would spoil him until the end of his days! Thank you so much for your role in bringing him home to us!
