Animal Care Success Stories

In October, I adopted a very matted Maltese female thought to be about five years old.  Well, we got off to a little bit of a rocky start as she had not been properly housebroken and did not know how to use a doggie door. 

I was beginning to think we weren't going to make it.  She was having accidents in the house and we were not bonding.  Then, all of a sudden, we turned a corner and she has become the best little girl you'd ever want. 

She is so happy and loves all people and all animals, including cats!  She now uses the doggie door like she was born to do it and knows that potty is outside, not inside.

I just want to encourage people to not give up if there are problems at first.  Consistency and rewards will win out.  I'm so happy "Matty" and we have found each other.  She's the happy little star that now shines in my life.
