Casper – “Doesn't stop purring”
Animal Care Success Stories

When we decided to move forward with adopting a kitten, I was convinced we had to rescueCasper-a success story one through the animal shelter. As I walked through all the cages, my heart was drawn to this little white kitten, scared and needing a home.  I was told he was going to need a lot of patience at the beginning as he did not adapt well to the shelter environment…  I knew we had to adopt him and get him out of the shelter environment and into our home!

We picked Casper up four days later—he had developed a kitty cold (URI).  The shelter provided antibiotics and care instructions. We could tell he did not feel well and was crying all the way home in his box.  Knowing what I was told about the extra patience, I was expecting Casper to be frightened and skittish when coming out of the box, maybe he would even hide. We took him into the bathroom and set it up as his home. I Casper-a success storypicked him up and instantly he started purring…  After a week of extra love, medicine and more love—Casper runs our house and doesn’t stop purring!  He is a great kitty and we love him a lot.

Thank you so much!

Anne
